I have been painting in watercolor professionally most of my adult life, and for much of that time I have taught others how to paint. I consider it a privilege to share my knowledge with others, so that they may experience the joy of creating beautiful art.
My students have ranged in age from seven to 93. Most students had not touched a paintbrush since their school years. Some have gone on to show and sell their art, and still others have branched out to teach classes to beginning students. And so, the baton is passed along.
There's something wonderful that happens when you slow down, quiet yourself, and create. Painting can become a way for people to discover who they were created to be.
My professional art successes include private and corporate sales, acceptance into national juried art shows, and being published in international publications. I have taught private and group lessons in my studio, in workshop spaces, and in homeschool cooperative settings.
